General Rules

2000 – 01 Year

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO EACH REHEARSAL:

Your instrument.

Pencils.

Folding music stand with your name on it.

Orchestra Music (when you receive it)

Winter fee of $35.00 is due at first rehearsal

GENERAL RULES

No running or rough-housing in halls or classrooms. University classes and lessons are also meeting in the building.

The freight elevator is off limits. The passenger elevator should only be used if you need to climb more than two floors. If it is abused it also will be declared off limits.

The Art and Theater Departments and all other UTEP buildings are off limits; you should not leave the music wing of the Fox Fine Arts center.

No one may participate in classes except registered students

No one may observe classes except:

Parents or legal guardians; any relatives under the age of 18 may observe only if accompanied by parent/legal guardian

University music students

Public School or University Faculty

Groups specifically authorized by El Paso Philharmonic Strings

YOU MAY NOT BRING FRIENDS OR BROTHERS/SISTERS ETC. UNLESS THE ABOVE GUIDELINES ARE FOLLOWED

We expect you here at each rehearsal/class. If for some good reason you cannot be here, leave messages at 747-5967. This should not happen more than three times between now and March.
